Remember that game Breath of Death VII? Well the company behind that made a sequel. Not any old sequel, but one with the most unlikely of lead characters. Cthulhu. Yes, the god of madness, of everything most vile and evil and just wrong is the main player character of Cthulhu Saves the World.
Cthulhu Saves The World
Sequel to Breath of Death VII
Now one would of course question why a big bad such as Cthulhu would turn suddenly to the side of good. Well he hasn’t...not willingly. See, he was well on the way to dropping the world into madness when a mysterious guy took his powers away. This leaves the Elder God powerless to crush this silly world.
The narrator of course tells us this only to forget that Cthulhu can hear him too and learns that in order to lift this curse he has to do many heroic deeds. Despite this cramping his evil style, Cthulhu takes to this readily as he would like his powers back sooner than later.
This leads up to you playing the evil god turned reluctant hero in a very tongue-in-cheek involving groupies, trios of good guys getting in his way, narrator and Cthulhu fights and other wackiness in the vibe of Breath of Death VII (again there is no 1-6). The game comes in four different player difficulties, extra modes and even a director’s commentary. The thing sells for a dollar for over 6+ hours of game play.
Also you get to adventure as Cthulhu. I mean c’mon, how badass is that? Well other than the loss of your sanity, but that was an assumed job hazard…Cthulhu fatagan! Cthulhu Saves the World is available on Xbox LIVE (and Steam!) for 80 Xbox Live Points.
