How about that? Worms 2 is coming out on XBLA today. Well, if you are a fan of those cute crawly creatures, you will want to check out Worms 2: Armageddon. So what is new? Seems like the good folks might have added to the arsenal of these super pink fighters. This includes super bunker buster, Buffalo of lies, the Holy Hand Grenade, the baseball bat (hurrah!), napalm and the petrol bomb.

Players can also look forward to a variety of new modes (e.g. rope racing mode and fort mode). You are also going to get a whole lot more arenas. Examples on the list include Cheese Moon, Construction Site and Medieval England. Looks like the guys behind the game heard all the complaints and whining and decided the first game did not do justice to this cult classic.

This is a bad week for releasing a new game on XBLA, simply because anything else that comes out will be overshadowed by the much-loved Worms. There is another game coming out and it will appeal to fans of fighter games. The game itself is called The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match. Pretty self-explanatory; it is PvP fighting game that offers 64 different characters. The online multi-player capabiltiy certainly adds to its appeal.
