Wednesday Releases for XBLA
Two new games will be released on Xbox Live Arcade this weekend - Droplitz and Fatal Fury: Garou-Mark of the Wolves. The former is a fun puzzle solver whilst the latter is a port of the popular fighting game known as Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves.
Remember the Linux game called Knetwalk? Where you had to make sure all wires were hooked up to a computer in a set amount of moves? Well, Droplitz is kind of like that but with a lot of its own additions. Developed by BlitzArcade, it is an addictive puzzle-based game that requires similar doses of fast-paced action and strategic maneuvers. The aim of the game is to successfully transfer a set number of water drops (droplitz) from the starting points to the collection points. These droplitz flow down pipes, most of which must be rotated by the user to make sure you don't lose them in a dead-end. Boasting sleek and shiny graphics, the game also seems to offer various playing modes to suit different players.
Fatal Fury needs no introduction. The versions on Dreamcast have been quite popular and thus players will be glad to get the port on XBLA. Developed by SNK, this version now boasts online multiplayer capability. Players can now indulge in a bit of hectic PvP fighting as you learn all the right moves and combos in this classy 2D arcade game.
Both games are set to be released on Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, June 24th for 800 Microsoft points each.
