So … I finished Resident Evil 5 last week. I've been a fan of the game series ever since the first polygonish Umbrella-kicking adventure and thus, was eager to play the most recent one in the series. And given that I had not played the fourth part, I didn't quite know what I was in for. Now I know.

Alright, so RE 5 is incredibly pretty; it's realistic and sparkling fresh (but not in a vampire in sun way), right down to the executioner's gritty look. And it's not just the people and environment that grab your attention. The folks have added in little details into your surrounds (like when you smash boxes, hack away at apples … as you do) which adds to the overall look of the game. Read more

It is Wednesday and a new bad boy has come into town today. I'm talking about Rocket Riot, the fast-paced XBLA game from Dutch Game Studio CodeGlue. It is a game that boasts bazooka-toting, jet-fueled players. Offering a side ways glance at the mayhem and destruction evident within the game, the aim of the game is blasting your enemies out of the water, land, ship ... you get the drift. 

While it is basically a shooter game, the overall gameplay appears to require a certain amount of control, which definitely adds to its appeal. So there you are, maneuvering your way through the nooks and crannies of various maps as the enemy lurks in hidden spots, steadying your aim as you come across your enemy and then boom!  Read more
