If you liked the Grand Theft Auto franchise and other free world, gory shooters, than Far Cry 2 may just be the thing that you were looking for. An enhanced graphical engine with newer shading properties makes this game look shiny and brilliant to the eyes – even if most of your time is spent driving around and shooting rebels to unlock safe houses. Still, the repetition aside, Far Cry 2 is an avid and worthwhile shooter that well earns its pay in a world where games are breaking ground each day with newer and greater things that make all of us gamers go ah – yes, finally. And sometimes they make us cringe as well.
Why They Changed Things Up
Upon finally playing this game, I noticed that they did quite a few things differently than they did in the original. Firstly, it’s a free world board, not confined levels that lead you on one set pathway. Secondly, they added more weapons and vehicles, as well as plenty of cool new buildings and geography grids.
