Three Upcoming Games to Watch Out For: Godfather II, Red Faction & GTA IV Episode 2

There is so much that is constantly going on in the world of video games that keeping up with it all can seem, well difficult at times. However, this is why we are always keeping our eyes peeled and our ears to the ground—just in case we hear something, even if only a rumor at first, all to bring it to you! So this time around, we would like to speak about a few upcoming free-world games, some that are expansions and others that are newer sequels that will literally blow your minds once they are released. And you already know that we are oh so fond of those large, open level free-world boards that offer endless possibilities. So when we hear about newer games coming out from this spectrum, we get all giddy inside!

Godfather II: The first game in this bunch was actually a decent game that was loosely based upon the hit movies. While there is not much in the realm of original voice over actors, they did a great job making this a fun mobster triage that allows for you to build up your own mafia family and take over the criminal underworld. The new game offers endless hours of play, amazing graphics, a huge free-world board and continues the never ending Godfather Saga. There will be more violence, more weapons, more cars, more things to do, tons of missions—could you ask for anything more?

Red Faction: If you recall Red Faction II for the original Xbox it was a pretty damn decent game that offered an insanely sick multiplayer shooter and tons of weapons and options to explore. This time around, they are making it into a huge free-world game that will really challenge you every step of the way. Not sure about how violent it will be, or if it will really compare to other monsters like GTA IV. But time will tell if this franchise is to make it. Based upon Red Faction II, our hopes are rather high!

GTA IV: Episode 2: This newer expansion for GTA IV will be available in late December of 2009. It is supposed to offer around another 80 exciting missions. Will it come out in time? How much will it cost? We don’t know yet and will keep you all posted!
