Why ‘Perfect Dark Zero’ is Still the Best Multiplayer Shooter Around

If you have never played the popular shooter ‘Perfect Dark Zero’ by Microsoft Gaming Studios, let me bring you up to par really quickly people. It was the very first game to ever be released for the Xbox 360 gaming console and of course it was made by Microsoft so they could demonstrate the prowess of their new system, when it originally debuted in early 2001. However, until this day the game remains in my collection as one of the best multiplayer games that have ever been created and developed for the Xbox 360, and I will happily tell you why as you read on. Keep in mind, that I am a fan of all shooters, Halo, Rainbow Six, and so on. But some of the newer shooters are entirely lacking of some necessary features that this game offered from the earliest stages of the next generation gaming consoles.

The Scoop on Perfect Dark Zero Multi Player
The game is totally multiplayer, something that seems to be rarity these days with Xbox 360 games, many culminating to the Xbox Live multiplayer feature instead. But this game can be played in campaign mode or death match with two players on the same console; And in death match up to four players on the same console. The graphics still laud most games that are released today and the gun sets rock. You can even customize boards and gun sets, add up to 16 bot players per board, and host Xbox Live matches where it creates a guest tag for your buddy, so you can play split screen death matches together on Xbox Live. During the in game play you can drive hover crafts with mounted machine guns or fly mechs around that have mounted cannons; or just pick off people with the sniper rifle.

Microsoft Game Studios Can sure Make Games, but not Good Consoles
It goes certainly without saying that Microsoft Game Studios is up to par on making some pretty damn good games. Halo 1, 2 and 3, as well as the Perfect Dark franchise amongst others. However, why can they not make a great video game console that does not overheat and die in the first year that you own it. I have been through about five Xbox 360 gaming consoles in the past three years, and I don’t over play it. It’s good to know they can at least make good video games. Now back to the drawing board on your overheating console guys.

Any and All Second Thoughts
If you like shooters, and you like action with intensely huge boards, plenty of vehicles to master and lots of weapons, you will love ‘Perfect Dark Zero.’ You can even get your hands on the collector’s edition—which comes in a metal case—for fewer than ten bucks. Challenge your friends to death matches, compete online and so on. And, the graphics are some of the better that you will see in most games. Rarely do multiplayer games this good come out, and when they do they are worth grabbing up and holding on to. Because they are few and very far between and that’s an unfortunate fact Jack!
